Founded in 2025, Ganshoren Touch Rugby is a vibrant and welcoming touch rugby club located in Ganshoren, Brussels.
Nicknamed the Gators after the Ganshoren marsh, we welcome players of all levels to share the passion of touch rugby in a friendly atmosphere.
We are passionate about promoting the sport of touch rugby and providing a supportive environment for players of all levels.

What is touch rugby
Touch rugby is a dynamic, fast-paced sport that emphasizes teamwork, fitness, and fun! It’s a non-contact version of rugby where players "touch" instead of tackling, making it a safe and inclusive game for everyone—regardless of age, gender, or skill level.
How It Works:

Teams: 6 players per team on the field : 3 women and 3 men.

Objective: Score tries by running the ball over the opponent’s try line—no kicking required!

Touch Instead of Tackle: Instead of full-contact tackles, defenders make a light touch on the ball carrier, who then must stop and pass the ball within three seconds.

Six-Touch Rule: The attacking team has six touches to advance and score; if they don’t, possession switches to the other team.

No Forward Passes: Just like traditional rugby, you can only pass the ball backward or sideways.
